WHAT IS HOLISTIC COACHING?
A different kind of support
Coaching is not therapy and it is not medical treatment. It is a structured, goal-oriented partnership where we work together on the practical and emotional realities of living with chronic pain or burnout: the daily decisions, the habits, the patterns, the moments where knowing what to do and actually doing it are very different things.
Working through the physical, mental and social dimensions of your health, we co-create a plan that is built around your life, your nervous system, and your real capacity, not a generic protocol.
If you have been managing a chronic condition mostly alone, coaching offers something medicine rarely does: consistent, unhurried support from someone who believes you.
Together, we will:
- Assess and establish a baseline
- Find direction by clearly visualizing your ideal wellness
- Make a plan with clear steps toward your optimal level of health
- Simplify your healthy habits so they stick
- Pace your exercise plan so you don’t overdo it then give it up
- Implement small, progressive lifestyle and behavioral changes that build consistency
- Share strategies, resources and insights as needed
- Address and overcome obstacles
So that you can:
- Manage stress more efficiently
- Improve your sleep
- Feel energized
- Regain confidence in your body
- Recover the drive and confidence to do it yourself
- Make progress toward greater health despite life, kids or a diagnosis
-
Calm your nervous system and reduce symptom flare-ups
- Find information and support to follow your doctor’s protocol
- Invest in your health now to reduce care costs over time
chronic pain & illness
Does this sound like you?
You have seen the doctors, done the tests, followed the advice. You have been told your results are normal, your pain is stress, your exhaustion is just anxiety. You have pushed through, researched on your own, and wondered more than once if you were imagining it.
You are not. And you are not alone.
“You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously.” — Sophia Bush

It's an active partnership where your openness to change, coupled with dedicated time for introspection and self-discovery, paves the way for profound growth. Coaching offers a rich, transformative path forward, and my support throughout ensures you experience a journey of lasting discovery and growth.

You're not alone
As a coach and psychologist, I am here to offer empathetic listening in the absence of judgement, and provide unconditional compassionate support and kindness. I abstain from offering unwanted advise, and provide it only when needed. In sessions with me you are in a safe and supportive space, with a trained professional.

Clarity & direction
Ready to stop dreaming and start doing? I will guide you to forge a clear, bold, and inspiring vision for your ideal life. Using the principles of Motivational Interviewing and Appreciative Inquiry, we'll collaboratively explore your inherent strengths and personal qualities to smash through limits, ignite your self-belief, and craft a strategic plan to make that vision a reality.

Lasting change
Finally we'll collaborate on SMART objectives that cultivate your self-efficacy and build self-confidence. I'll provide accountability and direct feedback, gently challenging any limiting thoughts or beliefs that might hinder your progress, or helping you gain fresh perspective. When beneficial, I'll also share relevant ideas and resources, or brainstorm solutions to accelerate your progress and support your journey toward lasting positive change.
MY APPROACH
Your Nervous System Is Not the Enemy
Most chronic pain and burnout aren’t just physical problems with physical solutions. They are the result of a nervous system that has been under sustained stress for so long that it has learned to stay in a state of high alert — driving inflammation, amplifying pain signals, and keeping your body stuck in survival mode.
This is not weakness. It is biology.
My approach is grounded in the Bio-Psycho-Social model, which recognizes that your physical symptoms, your emotional experiences, and your life circumstances are all connected and all relevant. We don’t treat the body in isolation from the mind, or the mind in isolation from the life you are actually living.
In practice this means we work on multiple levels at once — calming your nervous system, building sustainable habits, processing the emotional weight of chronic illness, and addressing the practical barriers that make change feel impossible when you are already exhausted.
This is not a quick fix. It is a real, structured path toward feeling safer in your own body.

WHAT IS HOLISTIC COACHING?
Your Questions Answered
Coach vs Therapist or Doctor
How is coaching different from therapy or seeing my doctor?
Coaching is not therapy and it is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment. That distinction matters and I take it seriously.
Therapy typically focuses on healing past wounds, processing trauma, and treating diagnosed mental health conditions. It is often open-ended and exploratory. Medical care focuses on diagnosing and treating physical conditions.
Coaching is forward-looking and goal-oriented. We work together on the practical and emotional realities of living with chronic pain or burnout right now, by building sustainable habits, calming your nervous system, and creating a clear path forward.
What makes my approach different is that I bring both worlds to the table. As a European-licensed clinical psychologist and board-certified health coach, I understand the psychological, behavioral, and physical dimensions of chronic illness in ways a standard coach or a standard doctor typically does not.
If you are unsure whether coaching, therapy, or medical support is right for you, the clarity call is exactly the place to figure that out together.
What if my symptoms have no explanation?
Can coaching help if my diagnosis is unclear or my symptoms have no explanation?
Yes. And this is actually where this work is most needed.
Many women with chronic pain, fatigue, or persistent symptoms spend years being told their results are normal, their pain is stress, or that nothing can be found. What medicine often misses is the role of an overactivated nervous system in driving and amplifying symptoms, even when scans and bloodwork come back clear.
This is not imaginary. It is biology. And it is addressable.
Working through the Bio-Psycho-Social model, we look at the full picture: your physical symptoms, your emotional experiences, your history, and your nervous system’s current state, and build a plan that meets you where you actually are.
You do not need a diagnosis to deserve support.
What does a Health and Wellbeing Coach do?
What does a health and wellbeing coach do?
A health coach acts as a structured, supportive partner who bridges the gap between what your healthcare providers recommend and what actually happens in your daily life.
In practice that means I help you get clear on what you want for your health, identify what is getting in the way, and build sustainable habits that work for your real life, not an idealized version of it.
I will listen without judgment, ask the questions that help you think differently, and offer education, guidance and clinical insight when it is genuinely useful. I will challenge you when you are ready and hold space when you are not.
What I won’t do is tell you what to do, push you past your capacity, or pretend there are quick fixes. The goal is for you to become the expert in your own health, someone who trusts herself and knows what she needs.
That kind of autonomy and self-efficacy is the real outcome of our work.
Do you guarantee confidentiality?
Do you guarantee confidentiality?
Yes, absolutely. As an independent practitioner I am not linked to any governmental agency, employer, or insurance provider. What you share with me stays between us.
As both a board-certified health coach and a European-licensed clinical psychologist, I operate under the NBCHWC Code of Ethics and strict professional standards that require confidentiality, neutrality, and benevolence in all client interactions.

How do coaching sessions work?
How do coaching sessions work?
Initial session (60 to 90 minutes) We start with a thorough assessment of where you are right now: your symptoms, your history, your daily life, and what you most want to change. Together we build your personal wellness vision and a structured plan with clear priorities and first steps tailored to your nervous system’s real capacity.
Ongoing sessions (45 minutes) We meet weekly or biweekly depending on your program and your needs. Each session we review progress, explore what is working and what isn’t, address obstacles and flare-ups, and set meaningful next steps.
Integration session (final session) At the end of your program we take stock of everything you have built, celebrate your progress, and create a roadmap you can carry forward independently.
Between sessions you have access to me via email or text for questions, quick check-ins, and support when things get hard.
